Last May 5, 2015, one of the biggest boybands on the planet came and rocked Manila. The Backstreet Boys came back for their In A World Like This Tour. This was our very first concert together and it was worth the price and the standing position.
The concert was opened by Filipina artist Tippy Dos Santos who sang 90s songs like Come On Over by Christina Aguillera, Torn by Natalie Imbruglia and Stay by Lisa Loeb. She closed things with one of her hit songs Dati.
Then came the boys opening with The Call from their Black and Blue Album. Even at their matured age, the Backstreet Boys still danced and sang like it was 1995. We got to hear their new songs off their In A World Like This like Breathe, Show 'Em (What You're Made Of) and Madeleine. Madeleine became some sort of tribute to Manny Pacquiao with the lads using Manny instead of Madeleine. FYI, they want a rematch.
Completing the concert, the boys sang their hits. From We've Got It Goin, their very first single to their memorable songs like Incomplete, Quit Playing Games with My Heart, I'll Never Break Your Heart, The One, Shape of My Heart, As Long As You Love Me, Everybody (Backstreet's Back) I Want It That Way and so much more. They closed the concert with Larger Than Life, a song they wrote for their fans.
Brian, Howie, Nick, AJ and Kevin showed us what they were made of and that they are here to stay. It was one great and memorable concert. Can't wait for their next tour.
See more photos after the cut.
